Our Story
What does Personova mean? For our us it has a few meanings. First, a nova is a type of star that becomes brighter by pulling on the energy (we call it expertise) from another nearby star. It means our people help your people shine brighter. It’s a big universe with a lot of competition. Think of us as the Hubble telescope that’s showing your business off to the world. It’s also a nod to our founder’s time spent at NASA, and her dad’s time at JPL during the space shuttle era.

Second, in Latin nova means new. After 20 years of working for other people, our founder was given an opportunity to follow her dream of leading a world class communications firm, employing the dozens of communicators she’d come across in her career and giving them power to do their best work while being supported in balancing all life is giving them. Launching Personova was her dream … it’s the moment she unlocked her new + Person.

Finally, we’re about doing something new and different in the world of communications. Not just PR. Not marketing. It’s about a complete, universal approach to highlighting business. Every single person on our team has been a part of an organization that wanted content out the door, without a thought as to why and every single one of us has built a beautiful strategy that never saw its full potential because of that misguided desire. Now we’re getting content out the door by first helping companies understand their own ‘why’ which leads to saving time and money, and a bigger impact when their news hits.

From our Founder …
First, thanks for reading this far. This company is my dream and the people who work with me are my novas. Personova, the idea, started for me in 2010 when not being mobile was a death nell in your career. Over the years it got incrementally better but not until 2020 did the world truly embrace virtual teams. Our team is in all corners of the country, and we'll always be that way. It allows me to attract the most amazing talent, pour into them, provide opportunities, and watch them shine. It means that we don’t have to be based in a major city to attract the best talent which means our customers get a carefully curated team of the absolute best professionals … and it gives us the flexibility of meeting their needs by having people in their area already. This team is beyond the usual and common, they’re brilliant.
